What this practice entails.
This class follows trauma-informed principles: predictable rhythm, plain-language invitations instead of commands, and complete autonomy — you choose every shape, every stillness, every rest. Nothing is hands-on, the lights stay up, and you can arrive, leave or simply breathe at any point.
Sofia blends gentle movement, orienting and grounding exercises, and supported rest. It complements — never replaces — working with a therapist or healthcare provider.
- 60 minutes · gentle · no experience needed
- Invitational language — every cue is a choice
- Small circle capped at 12 · door stays unlocked
- Support person welcome at no extra cost

Good to know.
Do I need to share anything about my history?
Never. There is no check-in circle and no expectation to speak. A private note to Sofia beforehand is welcome but entirely optional.
What if I feel overwhelmed during class?
Rest, orient to the room, step out and return — all are normal and explicitly invited. A quiet corner with water and blankets is always set aside.
Is this therapy?
No. It is a supportive movement practice that sits well alongside therapy, and we can share referrals to trauma-aware clinicians on request.
Come exactly as you are.
Saturdays at 11 AM. If a full class feels like too much, write to us — we will arrange a quiet first visit together.
