Sofia teaches our slowest rooms — Wednesday and Sunday Yin, Saturday trauma-informed practice — and students describe her classes the same way every time: the exhale the whole week has been waiting for.
Teaching rest in a restless city
Sofia came to Yin after a decade in emergency nursing, where she learned that stillness is a skill, not a luxury. Her rooms are candlelit and quiet, her cues invitational, and her singing-bowl savasanas have quietly become studio legend.
In her words
“Rest is not the absence of practice. For many of us it is the bravest practice there is. My job is simply to hold a room safe enough for people to find out.”
Practice with Sofia
Find her on the schedule for Yin on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 5 PM, and trauma-informed practice on Saturdays at 11 AM. New students are always welcome — tell her it is your first class and she will take care of the rest.
